Security FAQs

What kind of security does Wallit have in place?

Wallit uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2) for all services, this ensures that any data transferred between you and us is encrypted.  We are PCI compliant, and our software and services have undergone rigorous security testing.

How can I tell if the Wallit site is secure?

Our site, and services all run under HTTPS.  Depending on the site that’s connecting to our services, it may not be transparent that our paywall is connecting securely.  However the pop-up page that asks you to purchase content and/or login is indeed connecting through HTTPS.  Most web browsers will allow you to view the source code of the paywall page, if you view the source of the paywall page, you’ll see the page is coming from an HTTPS server.

Is Wallit PCI Compliant?

Yes, Wallit is fully PCI-DSS v3 compliant.  For more information on PCI compliance see https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org.

How do I know if an online transaction is secure?

All through the development of our services it was and remains our top priority to ensure that our site is safe and secure.  We have used industry best practices to protect your information and our reputation.  Wallit doesn’t store or have access to your credit card number, security code or expiration date.
